This movie was the best cartoon movie that was out last
year, it seems like it was geared towards my generation and anyone who likes video games. It stars the voice talents of John C. Reilly
(Talladega Nights), Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program), and Jack
McBrayer (30 Rock). Ralph is a
misunderstood bad guy in a video game called Fix-It Felix. He wants to be respected by the good guys in
the video game so he's jumps from game to game in search of becoming a
hero. This movie has so many callbacks
to old school video games, from Sonic, to street fighter, to q*bert. There's
also some hidden features on the bluray, if you pause the movie it goes to
Chris Hardwick giving cool little tidbits about the movie and hidden things
throughout the different scenes. Lots of
cool stuff I would like to watch for on a separate viewing of the movie. It definitely should've won best animated
film from last year. This was one of the
Disney animation movies and not a Pixar film which the last few years they have
been killing it with better movies in my opinion. It's entertaining enough for anyone and
everyone.
I give this movie a 5.0, such a great movie
